The challenge

Annapoorna Sweets is an Indian sweets and savouries shop on Abu Baker Al Siddique Street in Hor Al Anz, Dubai. It needed to show a range of 48 products, from laddus and kaju katli to murukku, chaat and gift boxes, in a way customers could browse like a shop.

The shop takes orders at the counter and by arrangement, so the site had to collect clear product, gifting and bulk-order enquiries without online payment, and send walk-in customers to the shop.

What we built

A large range that customers need to browse, not a static menu. We built a collection with four categories (sweets, savouries, chaat and snacks, gift boxes), type filters, sorting, site-wide search with popular searches, and a page for every product with photos, also-known-as names, ingredients and allergens.

Customers want to ask about several products at once, but nothing is sold online. We built a 'My Selection' list: visitors add products with optional quantities or notes, then send one enquiry with their selection attached. The site states clearly that nothing is charged online and the shop confirms availability.

Gifting and function orders need different details from a single product question. We added a Corporate and Festive Gifting page showing the seven box styles, with an enquiry form for the occasion, number of boxes and preferred date, and a bulk and function order route.

Walk-in trade matters as much as online enquiries. We built a Visit Us page with Google Maps directions, the shop's phone and email in the header and footer, and an Our Story page about the shop.

Features we added

  • A 48-product collection with categories, type filters, sorting and search
  • A 'My Selection' enquiry list instead of online payment
  • Product pages with alternative names, ingredients and allergens
  • A corporate and festive gifting page with its own enquiry form
  • Google Maps directions and click-to-call
  • Store, collection, product and breadcrumb structured data
  • An installable PWA manifest

How the website works

A visitor lands on the home page, browses a category or searches for a sweet, opens a product to check ingredients and allergens, adds items to their selection, then sends one enquiry with their details, or gets directions to the shop in Hor Al Anz.

Responsive development

The site renders responsively with a two-column product grid, a compact header with search and the selection count on mobile. Specific breakpoints were not separately measured.

SEO and performance foundations

The build ships descriptive titles and meta descriptions, a clean URL for every collection and product, and Store, CollectionPage, ItemPage and BreadcrumbList structured data.

What was delivered

  • A browsable product catalogue for an Indian sweets shop
  • An enquiry list in place of online payment
  • Gifting and bulk-order enquiry routes
  • Shop directions and contact for walk-in trade

Delivered outcome

A launched catalogue site where customers can browse the full range and send one clear enquiry.

Gift-box and bulk orders now have their own enquiry route.

Delivery outcomes describe what was built and shipped.
