The challenge

Zayraan is a UAE jewellery brand selling gold-plated, cubic-zirconia sets. It needed a premium, fast storefront experience while orders continued to be completed through its existing WhatsApp advisor channel.

Keeping more than a hundred pages consistent from the real catalogue, and presenting materials honestly, were the two central problems. Some product names used terms like '24k gold' and 'diamond' while the materials are gold-plated alloy and cubic zirconia.

What we built

A static site cannot process card payments, orders or stock. We wired checkout to a WhatsApp order hand-off to a Zayraan advisor, the brand's existing channel, with cart and wishlist saved in the browser.

Consistency across roughly a hundred product pages built from live data. We built a generator that reads the real catalogue and renders every listing and product page, so the storefront stays consistent and is re-runnable.

Some product names could imply materials the pieces are not. We kept the existing names but added accurate material and stone language on every product page and a note on materials, and logged the flagged items for the owner to approve.

Features we added

  • Catalogue generated from the brand's real product data
  • Filters (price, metal tone, stone, occasion, style), sort and a mobile filter drawer
  • Instant overlay search, including 'under a price' queries
  • Browser-stored cart and wishlist
  • WhatsApp checkout hand-off
  • Sticky mobile buy bar, related and recently-viewed
  • Honest-materials policy with a claims audit for owner approval

How the website works

A shopper lands on the homepage, browses categories or searches and filters in Shop, opens a product page with its honest material specs, adds to cart or wishlist (saved in the browser), then chooses Checkout on WhatsApp, which hands the bag to a Zayraan advisor to complete the order. Browsing, search, filtering, cart and wishlist all work in the browser; card payment is not taken on the static site.

Responsive development

The design is mobile-first, with a dedicated mobile filter drawer and a sticky mobile buy bar; reduced-motion preferences are respected and a skip link and focus styles are present. Specific breakpoints were not separately captured (the live host returned a bot block during research, which does not indicate the site is offline).

SEO and performance foundations

The build ships a sitemap and robots file, homepage JSON-LD, and product and breadcrumb structured data on product pages, with semantic HTML, alt text and meta descriptions. This is UpStream's static rebuild; the current live store runs on a hosted commerce platform that supplied the catalogue.

What was delivered
