How to Choose the Best SEO Company in Sharjah, Ajman or Dubai

Choose the SEO company that shows dated, checkable results, explains every change it makes, lets you own your website, Search Console and Google Business Profile, and refuses to guarantee rankings. Google itself says no one can guarantee a number one position, so a guarantee is a reason to walk away, not a reason to sign.

Key takeaways
  • Google says no one can guarantee a number one ranking, so treat any ranking guarantee as a red flag
  • Ask for dated, checkable proof: live client sites you can search for yourself, not just logos
  • You should own the website, domain, Search Console, Analytics and Google Business Profile from day one
  • A fair monthly package names its deliverables: technical fixes, local SEO, content and a monthly report
  • Paid links, bought reviews and mass-produced pages break Google's policies and can damage your visibility

The best SEO company for a business in Sharjah, Ajman or Dubai is not the one with the boldest promise. It is the one that can show dated results you can check yourself, explains every change it makes, leaves you owning your website and Google accounts, and tells you plainly what it will deliver each month. Google's own guidance on hiring an SEO says no one can guarantee a number one ranking. If a company guarantees one, keep looking.

This guide sets out the questions to ask, the red flags to avoid, what a fair monthly package should include and how to check an agency's proof before you sign. It is written for owners of local service businesses, clinics, shops and trading companies who want enquiries from Google Search and Google Maps.

The short answer: five checks before you sign

  • Proof you can verify: live client websites, the searches they appear for and the date each screenshot was taken. You should be able to search for some of them yourself.
  • No guarantees: an honest agency explains what it will do and how progress will be measured. It does not promise positions.
  • Your accounts, your name: the domain, website, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile belong to you. The agency gets access, not ownership.
  • Named deliverables: technical fixes, local SEO, page and content work, and a monthly report are written down with the price.
  • Methods inside Google's rules: no bought links, no bought or incentivised reviews and no thousands of near-identical pages.

What questions should you ask an SEO company?

Google publishes a list of questions to ask before hiring an SEO. They are a useful starting point because they come from the search engine itself, not from an agency. Here they are, with what a good answer looks like for a business in the northern emirates.

Question (from Google's guidance)A good answerA weak answer
Can you show examples of previous work?Named live sites, the search terms, dated screenshots and a case study you can readA wall of logos, or "our clients are confidential"
Do you follow Google Search Essentials?Yes, and they can explain what that rules out, such as paid linksTalk of "secret" methods or "special relationships" with Google
What results do you expect, in what timeframe, and how will you measure them?A baseline in Search Console, early movement on less competitive local terms first, monthly reportingA promised position or a fixed number of leads by a date
What experience do you have in my industry and my city?Examples from your emirate or similar local service businessesOnly national or overseas examples with no local proof
How long have you been in business?A licence you can check and a clear trading historyVague answers or no visible company details
Will you share every change you make, and why?A change list in each monthly report"Leave it to us"
Do they ask about your business?Questions about your services, areas, competitors and how customers find youA price before they know what you sell

Google also suggests checking references with past clients. A short call with one or two of them tells you more than any sales deck.

Red flags that should end the conversation

  • A ranking guarantee. Google says no one can guarantee a number one ranking, and warns against anyone claiming a special relationship with Google or a "priority submit".
  • Link packages. "500 backlinks for AED 300" is link buying. Google's spam policies treat links bought or sold to manipulate rankings as link spam, and sites involved can rank lower or drop out.
  • Review packages. Paid, incentivised or agency-written Google reviews break Google Maps content policy, which removes fake engagement and reviews posted because a business offered something of value. A business can ask real customers for honest reviews; it cannot buy them.
  • Mass city pages. Hundreds of near-identical "SEO in [area]" pages with only the place name changed fall under Google's scaled content abuse policy. Area pages should exist where you genuinely serve and should say something useful about that area.
  • Agency-owned accounts. If the domain, Business Profile or Search Console is registered to the agency, leaving them later can mean starting again.
  • No report, or a report of vanity numbers. Traffic alone is not the goal. You want impressions, clicks and positions for the searches that bring customers, plus the calls, WhatsApp messages and forms that followed.

What a fair monthly SEO package includes

Packages differ in price, but a monthly retainer should name its work. Use this table to compare quotes line by line.

AreaWhat it should coverHow you can check it
Technical SEOSpeed, mobile layout, indexing, titles, structure and broken pagesSearch Console page indexing report; the change list in the monthly report
Local SEO and Google MapsBusiness Profile categories, services, photos, posts and consistent business detailsYour own Business Profile, which you should own
Pages and contentA focused page for each real service and area, in English and Arabic where it helpsNew or improved URLs listed each month
AI search (GEO)Clear answers, accurate business facts and pages that AI search features can read and citeThe pages themselves: direct answers, sources and correct company details
MeasurementSearch Console and Analytics set up, with calls, WhatsApp clicks and forms trackedYour own access to both tools
ReportingPlain-English monthly report linking work to numbers, with sourcesA sample report before you sign

For reference, our own SEO is AED 799 a month with a four-month minimum, and it includes a free custom-coded website with SEO landing pages, technical, on-page and local SEO, GEO, Google Business Profile optimisation and a monthly Search Console report. Ad spend is separate. Our SEO cost guide for Sharjah and Ajman explains what changes the price.

How do you check an SEO company's proof?

Proof should be checkable, not just impressive.

  1. Search for their clients. Take two or three of the searches they show and run them yourself on your phone. Results vary by location, device and search history, so a client may not appear in exactly the same place, but it should be easy to find.
  2. Look for dates. A screenshot without a date could be years old. Good agencies say when each one was captured.
  3. Read a case study. It should describe the brief, what was done and what changed, without invented percentages.
  4. Check the company. Ask for the trade licence and where it was issued. An agency that serves Sharjah businesses should be easy to find, call and visit.
  5. Look at their own site. If the agency's own pages are slow, thin or full of claims with no source, expect the same for yours.

On our SEO services page for Sharjah we show client websites on Google with the search term and the capture month (September 2026), and note that positions vary and are not guaranteed. That is the standard we suggest you hold any agency to, including us.

Access: what to give, and what to keep

You should stay the owner of every account. Search Console has three access levels: owner, full user and restricted user. Owners control the property and can add or remove other users. For an audit, Google suggests giving read access only. For ongoing work, a full user can submit sitemaps and act on the data, so most agencies do not need to be owners.

  • Keep as owner: domain registrar, hosting, Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile.
  • Grant to the agency: the level each task needs, which you can remove when you part ways.
  • Ask in writing: that code, content and images made for you are handed over in full if you leave.

Does the agency need to be in Sharjah?

Not always, but local knowledge helps local SEO. An agency that knows how people search in Al Nahda, Muwaileh or Al Jurf, which areas a Sharjah plumber or clinic actually serves, and when Arabic pages are worth it will plan better area pages and Business Profile content. If you trade in Ajman or Dubai as well, ask how they decide which areas get their own page, so you avoid thin copies.

A simple way to compare three quotes

  1. Write down the monthly fee, the minimum term and what happens when it ends.
  2. List the named deliverables from each quote against the package table above.
  3. Confirm who owns each account.
  4. Check the proof using the five steps above.
  5. Ask for a sample monthly report.
  6. Drop any quote with a ranking guarantee, a link package or a review package.

The cheapest quote often leaves out the content and local work that brings enquiries. The most expensive is not always better. The quote that names its work, proves it and leaves you in control is usually the safe choice.

Questions, answered

Can any SEO company guarantee first page on Google?

No. Google states that no one can guarantee a number one ranking. A company can commit to the work and to transparent reporting, not to a position.

How long before SEO brings enquiries in Sharjah?

Most sites see early movement on less competitive local searches within two to three months, with more competitive terms taking longer. Our guide on how long SEO takes in the UAE explains what to watch in the meantime.

Is SEO or Google Ads better for a new business?

Google Ads can bring enquiries this week; SEO builds over months and keeps working. Many businesses run ads first and SEO alongside. See our Google Ads cost guide to compare budgets.

Should my Google Business Profile be optimised as part of SEO?

Yes, for any business that serves customers locally. Searches such as "near me" or an area name often show the Maps results first. Our guide to Google Maps versus website SEO explains how the two work together.

What should a free SEO audit include?

At minimum: indexing, speed and mobile checks, titles and page structure, local signals and a list of priority fixes. Our article on what a website SEO audit checks gives the full list.
