The challenge

Samurai Sushi & Grill is a Japanese restaurant in Jumeirah 3, Dubai. It needed to promote a headline all-you-can-eat offer while setting correct expectations, and enable ordering and reservations without any payment gateway or delivery-address handling.

It also needed a fast site that is easy to edit, with no CMS or build tooling, and honest presentation of menu, delivery partners and reviews.

What we built

The client wanted enquiries, not online payments or a delivery platform. We built a browser-stored cart and a multi-step booking that hand off to WhatsApp as a dine-in, pre-order or pickup enquiry, with clear 'not confirmed until we reply' messaging.

The menu should be browsable, not a static PDF. We built a searchable menu with category tabs, dietary filters, quick view and favourites, driven by editable data files.

The site must be editable by non-developers and load fast. We centralised all content in data files with a content guide, delivered as vanilla modules with a PWA and offline page and no build step.

Trust signals must be honest. Google reviews appear only when a key is configured, delivery apps show only verified partners, and the structured data carries no fabricated ratings or hours.

Features we added

  • All-you-can-eat landing plus a multi-step WhatsApp booking
  • Searchable, filterable menu with favourites and quick view
  • Browser-stored cart to WhatsApp enquiry (no payment or address)
  • Reservation requests and links to verified delivery partners
  • Installable PWA with an offline page and an app-like mobile bar
  • Restaurant structured data with no fabricated ratings or hours

How the website works

A visitor lands on the offer hero, uses the quick actions to book, browse the menu, reserve, order delivery or message on WhatsApp, and for the all-you-can-eat offer completes a multi-step booking that sends a WhatsApp enquiry the restaurant confirms manually. Delivery routes out to verified partner apps.

Responsive development

The site is mobile-optimised with an app-like bottom action bar, lazy images and reduced-motion support. Specific breakpoints were not separately measured.

SEO and performance foundations

Each page has unique metadata, a canonical URL and Open Graph tags, with a sitemap, robots file and restaurant structured data that avoids fabricated ratings or hours. This is structure work, not a ranking claim.

What was delivered

  • A conversion-focused, framework-free static restaurant site (no build step)
  • A searchable menu and a multi-step WhatsApp booking
  • Browser-stored cart to WhatsApp, with links to verified delivery partners
  • PWA, offline support and honesty-gated trust signals

Delivered outcome

A launched, editable restaurant site with a working browse-to-WhatsApp ordering and reservation journey.

An honestly presented menu, delivery and reviews setup with no fabricated data.

Delivery outcomes describe what was built and shipped. Traffic, ranking and sales outcomes require separate evidence and are not claimed here.
