Why a Landing Page Gets Clicks but Few Qualified Enquiries
If your ads get clicks but few real enquiries, the landing page is usually the problem. Here are the common reasons and how to fix them.
- Clicks measure interest; enquiries measure whether the page delivered; Message match
- speed and one clear action are the usual fixes; Ask for the minimum information up front; A click is not a lead
You are paying for clicks, the traffic reports look busy, but the enquiries are not coming. Nine times out of ten the ad is doing its job and the landing page is not. Here is what usually goes wrong, and how to fix it.
The message does not match the ad
Someone clicked because the ad promised a specific thing. If the page opens with a generic homepage or a different offer, they leave. The fix is message match: the page's headline should echo the ad's promise within the first screen. If you run ads, the destination should be a focused landing page, not the homepage.
The page is slow or awkward on mobile
Most UAE ad traffic is on a phone. A page that loads slowly, shifts around as it loads, or is hard to tap loses people before they read anything. Speed and a clean mobile layout are conversion features, not nice-to-haves; see why a fast website matters.
There is no single, obvious next step
If the page offers five things to do, visitors do none. Pick one primary action, usually a WhatsApp message or a short form, make the button obvious, and repeat it as the page gets longer. A visible alternative (call) is fine; five competing calls to action are not.
The form asks for too much
Every extra field costs you enquiries. Ask for the minimum you need to have a useful first conversation, then qualify further by reply. For most UAE businesses a name and a WhatsApp number beats a ten-field form.
There is no reason to trust you yet
Clicks are cheap; trust is not. Real proof (dated results, genuine examples, clear service scope) reassures a cautious buyer. Avoid fake urgency and invented reviews; they backfire.
You are measuring the wrong thing
A click is not a lead, and a lead is not a sale. If you optimise to clicks, you get clicks. Define what a qualified enquiry is, track it, and judge the page on that. This ties directly to what to prepare before a Google Ads campaign.
Fixing it
Usually the fix is a focused landing page with message match, fast mobile loading, one clear action, a short form and real proof, then measuring qualified enquiries rather than clicks. Send us the page and the campaign and we will tell you what is leaking.
