Blooms Flowers: A customised Shopify flower-and-gifting store for the UAE, with occasion-led merchandising and an SEO programme.

The challenge

Blooms Flowers is a UAE florist and gifting business (Dubai and Sharjah) with a large catalogue that shoppers browse by occasion, product type and budget all at once, which is easy to get confused.

The store also needed seasonal campaigns and stronger product and collection SEO at scale on a hosted platform.

What we built

A stock theme lacked florist- and event-specific merchandising. We customised the Shopify Horizon theme with occasion collections, a campaign banner, a gifting call-to-action and a full event-planning landing section.

Product and collection SEO had to be updated across hundreds of items on a hosted store. We produced structured bulk-import files for product and collection metadata, a keyword map, and redirect and broken-link recommendations, with before-and-after inventory reports.

Shoppers arrive with an occasion in mind, not a SKU. We led navigation with occasions (birthday, graduation, seasonal and religious dates) alongside product-type and budget entry points.

How the website works

A shopper lands on the homepage, chooses by occasion, product type or budget, filters within a collection, opens a product and adds it to the cart for the Shopify checkout, or hands off to WhatsApp to order; event enquiries route through the Event Planner form.

Technology and implementation

Responsive development

The Horizon theme is responsive, with mobile-specific layout and logo settings; the store was observed working on mobile. Exact breakpoints were not separately audited.

SEO and performance foundations

Our SEO deliverables include product and collection metadata import files, a keyword map, and redirect and broken-link recommendations, alongside Shopify's automatic sitemap and robots. This is on-store structure and metadata work, not a ranking claim.
